The Mail Exchange

The Mail Exchange project ran from 2014 to 2020 and worked something like a free periodical or subscription box. Every few months, I sent out packages of handmade, printed objects to people around the world. These parcels were made up of posters, postcards, zines, drawings, badges, mixed CDs, paper dolls, and bunting. To receive one of these parcels, participants sent me something of their choice for exchange in the mail. This could be anything they had made or found: a letter, a postcard, a recipe, a drawing, a photograph, a magazine clipping, something they’d knitted, something they’d read, sometimes all of the above. Thank you to everyone who participated for short or long periods with such an incredible spirit of generosity. I was amazed by what you sent me.

Although this project has come to a close, my PO Box is still open to anyone who would like to correspond or trade art and other things more informally. Send me something and I will send you something. You can write to me at Laura Watson, PO Box 6431, Sackville, NB, E4L 1G6, CANADA.
