About
Laura Watson is an artist and writer living in Sackville, NB, Canada in the Siknikt district of Mi'kma'ki. She acquired her BFA from Mount Allison University in 2015 and is currently Tantramar’s poet laureate. She makes zines, prints, and textile works that combine drawing and poetry.
Watson’s work has been exhibited in galleries across Canada as well as published in The Dalhousie Review, Contemporary Verse 2, ARC Poetry, and several anthologies. She also works in book illustration and provided the illustrations for Vikki VanSickle’s The Lightning Circle, published by Tundra Books in 2024.
